Welcome to the official website of the Dennis Memorial Grammar School Old Boys Association (DOBA), Class of 2004!
We are a vibrant and dynamic group of alumni committed to fostering connections, supporting one another, and giving back to our alma mater, Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha.
To maintain and strengthen the lifelong bonds among members of the Class of 2004.
To support DMGS through educational and infrastructural development projects.
To foster personal and professional growth among members through networking and mentorship.
Since our inception, we have remained dedicated to giving back to DMGS and our community. Some of our significant contributions include:
2022: Redesign of the DMGS Entrance Gate, a lasting symbol of pride for our alma mater.
2024: Sponsorship of the DMGS Prize Giving Day Ceremony, recognizing academic excellence.
2024: Launch of the DOBA 2004 Set Scholarship Award, a program supporting talented and deserving students in Junior Secondary 1 (JS1) and Senior Secondary 1 (SS1).
Additionally, we have produced leaders like Engr. Bernard Nwanya, who served as the youngest Vice President 1 of the DMGS Old Boys' Association Worldwide (DOBA WW) from 2018 to 2022.
The year 2024 marks two decades since the Class of 2004 graduated from DMGS. To celebrate this milestone, we have planned a series of impactful and memorable activities:
Prize Giving Day (July): Cash awards to top-performing JS3 and SS3 students.
Scholarship Award (October): Give out a 3-year scholarship award to 4 students spread across JS 1 and SS 1.
Charity Outreach (October): Distribution of essential items to DMGS students.
Novelty Football Match (December): Friendly match with the Class of 2003.
Rededication Service (December): A thanksgiving service to celebrate our blessings.
Anniversary Banquet (December): A grand reception to celebrate achievements and honor members.
These activities reflect our commitment to strengthening our bonds, enhancing the image of our set, and creating a legacy that inspires future generations.
